We have been actively building bridges between Europe and South-Korea for the past couple of years. Some significant developments have happened very recently and we’re currently working actively on developing collaboration.
With one of our acceleration partners in Korea, Y&Archer, we have been working on building an acceleration program designed specifically for Korean companies considering expanding into Europe. We will soon be publishing more details, stay tuned!
We also renewed our contract with Born2Global as the European Consulting Channel Partner.
With Korean International Trade Association (KITA) we signed a collaboration agreements upon two aspects; to develop and support KITA's Global Open Innovation program and, secondly, establishing a testbed environment in Europe to create an appealing platform where some of the latest technical innovations from Korea can be tested in a real-life setting. Foundry Europe will also be participating in Next Rise, a conference organised by KITA, later this month.
In addition, MasonBower was earlier this year selected as a channel partner for Fintech Overseas Expansion consulting program hosted by Fintech Center Korea to support Korean Fintech companies in their global expansion (Read more).
Both MasonBower and Foundry Europe have been, in fact, present at the Korea Fintech Week, which started last week and will continue to be open for public. For this online conference, we have joined forces with Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT). Together we represent the full process for market entry in Europe; MasonBower helps you identify your market and plan your market entry; Foundry Europe provides the different resources to deploy in market and LHoFT helps you integrate and support for the companies that decide to establish themselves in Luxembourg, one of the key financial hubs in Europe. We are also happy to announce that we have recently appointed Mr Richard (Seungik) Hwang to represent Foundry Europe in Asia as the Regional Director. Based in Seoul, with a broad experience and network within Korea, he is the ideal partner and local contact for our collaboration with South-Korea. Irene Mäkelä is a Project Leader at MasonBower. She is managing marketing and sales strategy projects for global and local accounts, but also handles many events hosted together with Foundry Luxembourg.
